Graduate Solicitor Apprentice
Sam Howlett is a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice based at our Charter Court Office in Colchester, having joined FJG in September 2022. She is based in our Family Team and works alongside Ties Bouwmeester and Rachel Earnshaw, assisting across a broad range of family matters, including divorce and children matters. Sam assists Ties at the Family Law Drop-in Service at our Clacton-on-Sea offices on a Tuesday morning.
Sam graduated from the University of Essex with a first-class honours law degree in 2020. She won the prize for the highest performing first year student on an undergraduate law programme and the highest performing student on the family law module. She also won the prestigious award for the best contribution by an individual law student at the Law Works and Attorney General Pro Bono Awards in 2021 for her work at Essex Law Clinic, whilst at university. She is currently studying for the Solicitor’s Qualifying Exam. ‘
